Why is she lying to her friends?

my mate is claiming she has met her biological dad after 14 years of not seeing or hearing from him, there is a court injunction on him and he knows that he will be put in prison if he sees my mate without supervision or the court knowing.. when she told me the time and the date she met up with him we was all at our local youth club so we know for a fact that he wasnt there so why is she lying about it and should i confront her about it?
