Ramadan- Shia people, why do most/all shia people ask Ali (as) for help?

We are not asking Imam Ali (as) for help, but we are asking Allah SWT to help us for his sake, for the sake of Ahlul Bait(as), because they are most beloved to Allah SWT himself. The help we seek is directly from Allah SWT and no one else, and it is all to Allah SWT that we communicate.
