Could there be a spin-off of Lost examining how Hugo and Ben take care of the Island until their deaths?

I am among the Lost fans that felt the ending of the series left something to be desired. There are so many aspects of the series that are left unanswered. A spin-off would allow us to fill in the blanks. Perhaps Hurley could allow a group of people to return to the Island? Cheers was able to spin off Frasier. I'd watch a spin-off of Lost as long as it was thoughtfully written. Does this make sense, or should I pop open a car of Dharma Beer and watch my Lost DVDs?
