Help with samba de amigo for wii!?

I just got samba de amigo. It's fun and I get to relive some of the games clic moments, and the music is AMAZING! But the controls are kinda sticky. What do you recommend to combat this. It's okay on easy and normal, but hard is almost impossible and i haven't tried superhard. It's worse with numchucks.
