How come these teenyboppers put unnecessary melodramatic lyrics in their PP captions on Facebook?

So I noticed that whenever one of these people update their profile pic they usually don't face the camera and put lyrics to some terrible popular song (like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, etc.) in their profile pic caption. The pic could be of anything like sitting on their bed, looking in a mirror (with the camera clearly visible), hell they could be taking a dump and they'd still put those lyrics. The lyrics have nothing to do with the profile pic yet they usually get like 5-12 likes on them... I have a lack of comprehension for this. Why don't they just put the lyrics on their status where it is more suitable instead of some picture of them staring off into space?
